About Protropy

Our Mission

Protropy seeks to develop human resilience through education, entrepreneurship, and hands-on environmental stewardship. Based in Nederland, Colorado, we are a private operating foundation established in 2021. We build and execute our own programs and research to directly benefit forested and mountain regions.

Our Approach

We bring land management, science, and community together by doing the work ourselves. Our team is on the ground running our own initiatives—managing our research site, tracking data, and sharing what we learn. We provide these findings to help our mountain community and neighbors thrive in high-altitude ecosystems.
