Our Work & Research
As an operating foundation, we dedicate our resources directly to the field. Here is what we are working on right now:

Pine Slash Composting Research Platform
Wildfire mitigation and storm damage generate a massive amount of pine slash in our mountain communities. This material is a fire hazard and a disposal challenge.
Our primary research platform focuses on developing, testing, and refining composting methodologies to transform high-altitude pine slash into nutrient-rich, agriculturally viable soil amendments.
Peak Harvest Ranch Research Garden & Accelerator
Serving as our living laboratory, Peak Harvest Ranch is a hub for high-altitude regenerative agriculture. Here, we implement data-driven research and manage educational frameworks to test sustainable farming practices in challenging climates.

Community Initiatives
We believe knowledge should be shared. Through events like our 2026 Community Pumpkin Growing Contest—hosted in coordination with the Nederland Farmer’s Market and Nederland Victory Gardens—we foster local agricultural interest, food security, and hands-on ecological education.
